Andilyn

Here she is at 2 1/2 weeks old. She looks different every day and I just want her to stop growing. We can't get enough of her and have loved having her here.

Lots of visitors and fun!

We also got a visit from Ryan's Mom for the weekend. It was so fun to have her here with us. We also went to Old Town and went to a couple of our favorite places to eat here in Albuquerque. It was nice having help with Andilyn and having some company while Ryan was in school. We sure miss all of our visitors and appreciate all of their help. We hope that we will get more soon!

It was so nice having my family there to visit us. This is all of us at Old Town Albuquerque, and a picture of "Grammy Dean" with Aunt Emily and Andilyn. I felt guilty the whole time they were here, they wouldn't let me help do anything. They cleaned my apartment, went grocery shopping for us, cooked us dinner, plus much more. We miss having them here, and they can come back anytime!

Sadie, Jared and Evy came and stayed with us for a couple days on their return drive home from Texas. It was so fun to see cute Evy and Andilyn, and what a difference 6 months makes. We hope that one day they will be good friends.

Old Traditions

This is Andilyn with her "Grammy Dean". I was so glad that my Mom got to be with me during the whole ordeal. Ryan had to start his first day of school the morning that Andilyn was born, so my Mom was there to help me with everything. We appreciated her help so much and were so grateful she could be there to share such a special time with us. This nightgown and blanket are gifts that my Mom made for Andilyn. The nightgown pattern has been a tradition in my family for over 100 years. Every new girl baby was given a nightgown that was typically made by the Grandmother. Andilyn's was blue just like mine was when I was a baby. She sure looks cute in it.

This was what Andie's poor little head looked like after a hard delivery with a vaccuum.

She is finally here!

Well after being 3 days late with this little girl, she finally decided it was time to arrive. I went into labor on Sunday night 1/10/2010 @ 10:30 pm, by the time my contractions were 3-5 minutes apart it was 12:00 am. We decided it was time to head to the hospital. We got there at 1:30 and they got my IV started and my epidural going. By the time that was done it was 3:00 am, then I started pushing. 5 1/2 hours later our beautiful little Andilyn finally made it! She was born at 8:31 am, she weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz. and is 20 1/2 inches long. We just feel so blessed to have her.

When will she arrive?

Well my due date is 2 days away and still no baby here! Ryan has been taking me golfing every day and walking the course in hopes that it will induce labor. Unfortunately it hasn't worked yet! We are just so excited for this little girl to arrive. We will keep you all posted when the day finally arrives. Wish us luck! :)
